![]() ![]() When i got to the installer screen i got a spinning pinwheel of death anyhow i think you might be able to load 10.4 on a 1000hd successfully, but i havent tried it. I thought what was wrong was the lack of proper support for the 915 chipset in the department of graphics. IDeneb v1.1 10.5.4 is a DVD universal for Intel/AMD (SSE2/SSE3) Developed by Layne (Punk92). Install Method: iATKOS v4 (didnt work), iDeneb 1.3., RETAIL 10.5.4 DVD 9.5.0 vanilla kernel BIOS Version. Put the iDeneb 1.3 DVD in your external DVD drive and boot from it (Hit ESC at the gray boot screen and select your DVD drive in the blue/yellow list) The boot may take a while (5-10 minutes depending on your DVD drive) Select the second partition that you have created in step 1 and format it by selecting 'Mac OS Extended. I dont know, the 1000HD seems to work fine in single-user mode under 10.5. Apple mac osx86 leopard 10 5 4 amd intel opensourc. My basis for this theory is that there are parts of the 1000H bios that refer to various Windows builds and in the hacked version of the bios there's an entry in that particular part of the code that's been changed (as well as the core aliases). My theory (and it is just a theory) is that the limitations in the bios are quite literal, in that there are flags that cause non-sanctioned Operating Systems to slow to a crawl (or fail altogether). While there's a lot of talk about the bios enabling both cores to work, that doesn't explain why there are problems with installing OS X on the 1000HD. ![]() But I honestly think that it's the availability of a hacked BIOS that is the real stumbling block. ![]()
